Last time long times: Goals by Defensemen

Milan Jurcina had quite a night on Saturday, with two goals and an assist,
including a shorthanded goal.

He is the first Isles Defensemen with 2 goals in a game since Brendan Witt did
it vs Edmonton Last November 2nd.

He is the first Islander defenesmen with a SH goal since Radek Martinek
scored vs Washington on October 24, 2009  -- here's an interesting sidenote,
since the 1991-92 season only 2 defensemen have scored a SH goal for the Isles
ON THE ROAD -- and they did it in the same game: Roman Hamrlik/Zdeno Chara @
Atlanta 10-20-2000

The Isles have now played 2,183 games since Denis Potvin recorded a hat trick
against Toronto (March 4, 1982).  The Islanders have not had a defensemen with a
hat trick since.
