Hamonic's rare night

I mentioned earlier about Hamonic's Gordie Howe hat trick on Friday night.  But
this is even stranger...

Travis Hamonic is the first defensemen in, well, Travis Hamonic's lifetime to
record at least 3 points and at least 17 penalty minutes.  No defensemen had
done that in the NHL since at least 1987-88.

Colorado's Chris Stewart was the last forward to do so (12-2-09 vs Florida); no
Islander forward has done so since at least 1987-88.

telecasts since 1982. Visit my blog: forever1940.blogspot.com and follow me on
