Hoping to strike a deal before free agency begins on July 1, the Philadelphia Flyers acquired the rights to impending free agent goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov from the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday night in exchange for minor-league left wing Matt Clackson, a 2012 third-round draft pick and a conditional pick.

At this point with Montoya poulin and DP coming off significant injuries, Nabokov is our healthiest and quite possibly our best option in goal if the isles want to take that next jump..with every d man except hamonic coming off injury into the 2012 season, Goaltending is going to be the biggest piece to the puzzle..the team can score and has great potential upfront..our back end is critical at this point.. going to be interesting

  2. lebaron, I think you forgot, Nabokov doesn't want to be an Islander.
