Jagr hopes to be ready for Isles

For a team that could use some good news, here's some that's not.

Jaromir Jagr want to play tomorrow vs Isles.  Tim Pannachio of CSN-Philly noted that he took practice today.

It will be Jagr's first game against the Isles since April 4, 2008.  Jagr's career numbers against the Isles are beyond incredible:  59-82=141 in 91 games.  This includes a 7-point game, five 4-point games, and ten 3-point games.

Jagr had recorded two hat tricks and ten other two-goal games against the Isles.  He once had an 11-year (22 game) point scoring streak against the Isles at the Coliseum (1995-2006).   He is 27-43-70 in 44 games at Coliseum (and 32-39-71 in PIT/WAS/NYR).

Jagr's first game against the Isles was his 5th in the NHL (10-13-1990) -- just 6 1/2 months after Uwe Krupp knocked the Isles into the playoffs by beating Pittsburgh and dropping the Isles to 6th in the draft, behind Pittsburgh.
