An NHL First Star, and a WCHA Player of the Week too

Matt Moulson's 4-bagger has earned him the NHL's First Star of the Week.  He had 6 goals and an assist this week.  His brother-in-law, Jonathan Quick, earned the 3rd Star for LA.

It's the second time this season that an Islanders has been named one of the Three Stars.  John Tavares was the second star for the period ending October 16th.

Moulson is the first Islander to be the First Star since Michael Grabner did so last season (period ending February 13th).

From the College ranks, Isles prospect Brock Nelson is the Red Baron® WCHA Co-Offensive Player of the Week.  The North Dakota sophomore had back-to-back two goal games in a sweep over Alaska-Anchorage.  He is 7-4-11 in his last 4 games, all multi-point games, and has been lethal on the power play, with 6 PP goals over that stretch.
