Overtime Was Our Time

The Islanders have gone 0-0-6 in overtime this season.

Of course, those who have followed the team for a generation or two know that overtime used to be friendly...very friendly... to the Islanders.

In the intermission before the Islanders eliminated Pittsburgh in 1993 on a David Volek goal, SportsChannel ran this compilation of Islander overtime moments.  Volek's goal is the most recent overtime goal in Islander history.  They have allowed four since then.

A fact you might not remember:
The Isles had a streak of 206:32 without allowing an overtime goal, winning eight straight games in the process.
