Tavares takes interesting streak into tonight's game with Carolina

One of John Tavares' favorite opponents is new Metropolitan Division rival Carolina.

Tavares has scored a goal in each of the last six games against Carolina, including the game-tying goal on April 23rd that gave the Isles the point they needed to clinch a playoff spot.

Tavares is the first Islander to score a goals in six straight games against the same opponent since Ziggy Palffy did so against Boston in 1997-98.  


JT also has an 8-game point streak against the Hurricanes (10-8-18).
