The Skinny on: Last Time First (Place)

The Isles come into tonight's game with Pittsburgh with a chance to tie the Penguins for 1st Place in the Metropolitan Division with a regulation win (although the Penguins will have a game in hand).

It would be the first time in nearly 8 years that the Isles have at least a share of first place this late in the season.

New Jersey defeated Montreal the following night to knock the Isles out of first place.

(The Isles did have a share of first in late Jan/early Feb 2013 but that was the lockout season and they had only played 7 games at the time)
