First Times in a Long Time

·        Cole Sillinger is the first 18-year-old to score against the Isles since Aaron Ekblad did so for Florida on November 14, 2014.

·        Sillinger is the first player to score his first NHL goal against the Isles since Givani Smith did so for Detroit on January 14, 2020.

·        Sillinger is the first 18-year-old to score his NHL goal against the Isles since Victor Hedman did so for Tampa Bay on December 9, 2009.

Eighteen-Year-Olds to Score First NHL Goal vs Isles

     1984-03-08   Russ Courtnall (Toronto)           18-280

1986-10-11   Jimmy Carson (Los Angeles)     18-083

(Thus, Sillinger is the second-youngest player to score his first career goal vs. the Isles, older than only Jimmy Carson. Carson would score 275 NHL goals)
