Matvei Michkov scored a goal and added two assists for his seventh career three-point game as the Philadelphia Flyers built a 3-0 lead defeated the Islanders 4-1, before a sellout crowd of 17,255 at UBS Arena.
Jean-Gabriel Pageau had the only goal for the Islanders, who lost in regulation for the third straight game. It is the Isles' first 0-3-0 stretch since the first three games of the season.
The Isles remain in third place in the Metro Division, although Columbus and Philadelphia are both one point behind.

On the Farm
Bridgeport beat Hershey 4-1 on Wednesday and beat Hartford 4-2 on Friday to improve to 30-28-3-5 on the season. Victor Eklund had five assists in the two wins, giving him six helpers in four games in North America while Henrik Tikkanen earned both wins. Tikkanen has won six straight, while allowing only 13 goals; he is 8-1-0 in his last nine games, allowing only one goal in his only loss. The Islanders have climbed into 4th place in the Atlantic; they are now six points clear of Lehigh Valley, who are out of the playoffs.
The Islanders are now off until Thursday, when they host Wilkes Barre-Scranton in the penultimate regular season game ever to be played in Bridgeport.

It has been over five months since the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Isles 6-2 in Raleigh on the day before Halloween. The Isles head back to Tobacco Road for the middle game of the season series on Saturday.
