Congratulations Howie!

The 52nd Annual NY Emmy Award nominees were announced yesterday, and Islander broadcaster Howie Rose is the only hockey play-by-play man on the list:

Howie Rose. October 1, 2007. (MSG Plus). "NY Islanders."

Ian Eagle. November 12, 2007. (YES Network).

Marv Albert. November 17, 2007. (YES Network).

Michael Kay. March 1, 2008. (YES Network).

Mike Breen. November 2, 2007. (MSG). "NY Knicks."

 

Billy Jaffe won the Emmy last year in the Analyst category.  This year's nominees are:

Glenn "Chico" Resch. October 2, 2007. (MSG Plus). "NJ Devils."

Harold Reynolds. July 1, 2008. (SNY).

Keith Hernandez. April 10, 2008. (SNY).

The awards, which cover the period September 2007 - August 2008,  will be handed out on March 29th.
