Rasmus Ristolainen scored 42 seconds into overtime as the Buffalo Sabres extended the Isles' winless streak to four games with a 3-2 win over the Islanders before a crowd of 18,903 at KeyBank Center.
Matt Moulson had tied the game for Buffalo early in the third period; Kyle Okposo, playing his first game against his former mates set up Ristolainen for the overtime winner.
Ryan Strome, who snapped a 20-game scoreless streak on Thursday night, scored for the second time in two nights.
