Jordan Eberle and Brock Nelson scored 2:25 apart early in the third period as the Isles rallied from a 3-2 deficit for a 4-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets before a crowd of 13,597 at Barclays Center.
Jaroslav Halak made 25 saves in the first period alone, and he finished with 46 saves overall as the Isles snapped a 2-game losing streak overall and a 3-game losing streak on home-ice. It was the Isles' first win in regulation time at home since December 23rd against Winnipeg.

The Skinny

Busy Night for Jaro
Jaroslav Halak faced 49 shots and stopped 46; both totals were his highest as an Islander, and one off his career high. The 49 shots he faced were the most he has ever faced at home, while the 46 saves matched his career-high at home. The totals are the highest for any Islander in a home game since Kevin Poulin stopped 48 of 51 against Vancouver on January 11, 2011.

Season Series Stats
Columbus still leads the season series two games to one (and four points to two). The Isles will host Columbus on February 13th to conclude the season series.
The Isles are 9-0-4 on home-ice in their last 13 home games against the Jackets. Columbus hasn't won a regulation game in New York since November 29, 2002; current Islander assistant coach Luke Richardson played 23:46 in that game for the Jackets.
On the Farm
Bridgeport split a pair of game over the weekend as they dropped a 1-0 decision to Springfield (despite allowing a club-record 13 shots on goal) and then rebounded to beat Belleville 3-1. Ben Holmstrom had a pair of goals in Saturday's victory. The Sound Tigers own a 23-17-4-2 record and have moved into 4th place (and the final playoff spot) in their division.
Tanner Fritz (on recall to the Isles) leads Bridgeport with 37 points (10-27-37); Rookie Scott Eansor leads the team in goals with 16. Christopher Gibson is 17-9-2 in the nets with 2 shutouts.
The Sound Tigers have an 11am game in Hartford on Wednesday before returning home to host Providence on Saturday and host Syracuse on Sunday.

The Isles will look to sweep the season series as they entertain the Predators. The Isles defeated Nashville 6-2 at Bridgestone Arena back on October 28th behind a natural hat trick from John Tavares and the first two goals as an Islander from Jordan Eberle.
Overall, the Isles have won 7 out of the last 9 from the defending Western Conference Champion Predators. However, Nashville is red-hot. The Preds are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games, outscoring opponents 31-17.
