Ivan Provorov scored the winning goal 15:03 into double-overtime as the Philadelphia Flyers evened their series with the Isles at 3-3 with a 5-4 win in game six of their Round 2 series at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
After trailing 2-0, the Isles scored three times in a 6:33 span to take a 3-2 lead; Mathew Barzal gave the Isles a 4-3 lead late in the second period, but Scott Laughton scored midway through the third to create the marathon.
The final game in the Toronto Bubble will be played at 7:30 on Saturday; the winner will advance to Edmonton to face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Final.

The Skinny
This was the third-longest game in Isles history (Quine 36:00, LaFontaine 68:47) and the longest-ever won by the opponent … Nick Leddy played his 41st playoff game as an Islander without being penalized, extending his own club record...The Isles finished with 53 shots; it's the most shots that they have had in a playoff game since April 20, 1993 vs. Washington (club record 61). …The Isles have been shorthanded only 11 times in the series; they have killed all 11 Flyer power plays……Carter Hart is the fifth active goalie to win multiple games to stave off elimination before his 23rd birthday; Semyon Varlamov did that four times with Washington in 2009, while Matt Murray (PIT) and Braden Holtby (WAS) each did so twice…After going 22 playoff games without an assist, Cal Clutterbuck had a helper for the second straight game. Matt Martin scored that goal- it was his 4th of this year's playoffs after having scored only one previously… The Isles have outscored the Flyers 10-3 in the third period after outscoring the Caps 7-1 in the third period; the Isles have allowed only two third period goals in their ten wins this post-season and lead the NHL with 21 third period goals in this year's playoffs…The Isles now have 10 power play goals in the playoffs (most since they had 12 in 1984).

Oskar Lindblom played over 17 minutes for the Flyers in his first appearance since being diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in December.
Overtime Facts
• The Isles have lost three overtime games in a series (and in a playoff year) for the first time in their history.
• The Isles lost an overtime game when a win would have clinched a series for the second straight game and only the third time in their history (April 29, 1978 – Game 7 vs. Toronto)

• Matt Martin set a club record (since 1998) for hits in a playoff game -12. JG Pageau had 10 hits, giving the Isles two players with at least 10 hits for the first time in club history.
• Matthew Barzal finished with nine shots, one shy of the club record set by Mike Bossy vs. Toronto in 1978 and equaled by Pierre Turgeon vs. Montreal in 1993.
• Three Isles met or exceeded the previous club record for best shot attempt differential (5-on-5) in a playoff game: Barzal was +27, Jordan Eberle was +25 and Devon Toews was +22. Toews matched the previous record, set by John Tavares in 2015 vs. Washington. The record goes back to 2010. (In all situations, Barzal was on for 52 Isles attempts while Eberle was on for 50.)
• The Isles finished with a +22 shots differential (53-31); it was their biggest positive differential since April 5, 1984, when they outshot the Rangers 45-18, but lost 3-0 at the Coliseum.

They are arguably the two most special words in sports: Game 7. The Isles and Flyers will meet one final time on Saturday.
It will be only the 9th Game 7 in Isles history (3-5). This will technically be an Islander road game, so eight of the nine will have been on the road. The Isles are 3-4 in road Game 7s and 0-1 at the Coliseum (Lanny McDonald).

This will be the first game seven in a series the Isles led 3-1 and only the second in a series the Isles led 3-2, having gone 10-1 in previous game 6 clinching opportunities.
