The Skinny on the Playoff Chase

Pete DeBoer's job has gotten harder, and the Isles have not yet played a game under their new coach.

Ottawa and Philadelphia both won, so the Isles are now three points behind both teams in the Wild Card and Division race.   

To make matters worse, Adam Fantilli tied the DET/CBJ game late, and then Columbus won in a shootout.  As I mentioned last night, that would be the worst combination as it moved both teams from behind the Isles to ahead of them.
