Oylmpic dreams for Grabner/Nolan

In case you missed it:  in a major upset, Austria has qualified for the Sochi Olympics -- ousting Germany (who had appeared in every winter games since 1952).  Germany actually defeated Austria 3-2, but it came in overtime, allowing Austria to advance for the first time since 2002.

Michael Grabner, Thomas Vanek and Andreas Nodl are the three current NHLers from Austria.

Latvia, coached by  for Islander coach Ted Nolan, and led by Stanley Cup-winner Sandis Ozolinsh, also advanced.

Round robin groups:
A Slovenia, Russia, Slovakia and the United States.
B Austria, Canada, Finland and Norway
C, Latvia, Sweden, Switzerland and Czech Republic
