Lots of Home Cooking Coming

The Isles begin a club record-tying 7 game homestand on Sunday when they host Carolina.

It's the sixth time in club history that the Isles have played seven consecutive home games.

The others:
  • October 7- October 28, 1972  (1-5-1 in the first seven games in club history)
  • December 19, 2000- January 2, 2001  (2-5-0)
  • November 21-December 4, 2001 (3-2-2)
  • October 14- October 31, 2006 (4-1-2)
  • February 15-March 1, 2007 (5-1-1) Ryan Smyth debuted in that 3/1 game, the only one that the Islanders lost.
(The Isles would be happy if the win progression (1 the first time, 2 the second time, etc.) continues over the next two weeks.)
