Scoring 4 in a period and losing... losing when leading after 2

I have to double-check, but I believe that this is the first time since December 19, 2005 that the Isles scored 4 goals in a period and lost in regulation.

The Isles scored 4 in the first period in Toronto that night, but allowed 4 in both the first and second periods of the highest scoring Isles game (9-6 loss) since 1990.

The Isles have now lost 5 games in regulation that they've led after 2 periods (nobody else has lost more than 3; six teams have earned a point in every game they've led after 2 periods.)

Forever1940 is the nom de plume of Eric Hornick, statistician on Islander home telecasts since 1982.
