Ryan Strome and Josh Bailey scored 3:03 apart in the third period to tie the game but the Florida Panthers scored on all five of their shootout attempts as they defeated the Islanders before a crowd of 14,598 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL. The Isles are 0-2 in shootouts this season and have lost a franchise-record 7 straight shootouts, dating back to last season.
