Mathew Barzal scored his 8th career overtime goal 2:11 into overtime as the Islanders rallied from a 3-0 deficit for a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Blues, before a sellout crowd of 18,096 at Enterprise Center.
Jimmy Snuggered had a goal and two assists as the Blues built a 3-0 lead, and when the Blues scored at apparent fourth goal it might have been 'game over', but an Islander offside challenge reversed the goal. Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored with 2:10 to play in the middle period to make it 3-1 and the Isles then scored two power play goals sixty seconds apart to force overtime.
The Isles split the road trip (2-2-0) and improve to 24-13-2 in their last 39 games; they head home for a game against Los Angeles on Friday night.
