What a week it has been for the Isles. From the lows in Montreal and to Chicago to big wins over Columbus, Dallas, and Florida.
On Sunday the Jackets had a chance to tie the Isles with 89 points but gave away a three-goal third period lead at Nationwide and lost to Boston in a shootout. That leaves the Isles second in the Metro, and means that the winner of Monday's Isles/Penguins game will be in second place while the loser will be in third.
Elsewhere - the Lightning move back into first in the East (via tie-breakers), while Montreal moved within four points of Buffalo and Philadelphia has poked their head back into the race and sit only two points behind Columbus and Pittsburgh (and three behind the Isles).
