Ex- Isles Green an AHL All-Star coach

Mike Milbury once called him a "gutless puke".  But Travis Green now has another title: "AHL All-Star Coach".

Green, in his second season as head coach of the Utica Comets, has his team in first place in the AHL West with a 20-5-5-0 record and that guarantees that the Comets will be in first place on Wednesday, earning Green one of the two Western Conference coaching honors.

Green played in almost 1000 (970) NHL games and has also has success in Juniors with the Portland WinterHawks.   This is his second season in Utica.

Green began his NHL career with the Islanders in 1992, and went 92-145-237 in 388 games, before being traded to the Ducks by Mike Milbury on February 1998.  It was a Green hit on Kenny Jonsson in November 1998 that led to Milbury's comment.
