One Islander named in The Hockey News Mid-Season Awards

...and it's Jack Capuano.

Capuano was selected by the mid-year runner-up to Nashville's Peter Laviolette for the Jack Adams Award:

JACK ADAMS AWARD

1. Peter Laviolette, Nashville (21 points)
2. Jack Capuano, N.Y. Islanders (10 points)
3. Paul Maurice, Winnipeg (5 points)

Also receiving Jack Adams votes: Willie Desjardins, Bruce Boudreau, Bob Hartley, Jon Cooper, Mike Babcock, Mike Johnston

The only other Islander listed as an "Also receiving votes" was Jaroslav Halak, in the Vezina category.

THN selected Pekka Rinne as both the Hart and Vezina winner, Mark Giordano as the Norris Trophy winner, Filip Forsberg as the Calder Trophy winner and Patrice Bergeron as the Selke Trophy winner.

Note that there was no vote taken for the General Manager Award.
