New captain...great start

The Isles are 3-1-0 under new captain Mark Streit.  It's only the fourth time in club history that they have started this strong (thru 4 games) with a new captain.

The others -- probably not who you thought:
Brent Sutter (3-1-0), Michael Peca (4-0-0), Bill Guerin (3-1-0)

Two likely answers to this question were both wrong:

The winningest captain (regular season) was Clark Gillies but the Isles went 2-1-1 in the first four after he replaced Ed Westfall in 1977.

Potvin's Cups began when he was named Captain to begin the 1979-80 season.  However, the Isles went 1-3-0 to start that season and were below .500 in early January before things got better ... much better.
