Tavares honored again

Katie is tweeting that John Tavares has been named the NHL's 2nd star.  (Other sources say Phil Kessel is #1)  Tavares had back-to-back four point games, becoming the first Islander to do so since Robert Reichel in 1997; he's also the first since Reichel to record at least eight points in a two-game period (Reichel had 9).

It's the second time in his career that Tavares has been honored as one of the NHL's 3 Stars.

He was also the second star for the week ending March 21, 2010.  That week included his five-point game in Vancouver.

Michael Grabner were the only Islanders honored last season.  Grabner named first star for the week ending February 13th and the third star for the week ended January 30th while Roloson was the first star for the week ending December  26th.
