Tavares honored by Mike'd Up

You can certainly tell that Mike Francesa is no longer involved with Mike'd Up, the WNBC Sunday sports show.  If he was, there would have been 0 chance that he would have been named John Tavares "Fios Fast Connection of the Week".

Tavares ended the week tied for the NHL lead in both goals (5) and points (8).  Linemate PA Parenteau is tied for the league lead in assists (6).

Oh, and Al Montoya, despite not playing Saturday, now has the best GAA in the entire NHL (1.35), just ahead of Jonas Hedberg.  The Isles, as a team have allowed jsut six goals in 4 games (1.50).  Only Detroit has a better team GAA (1.25).

It will be interesting to see which, if any of the Islanders are honored by the league when the 3 Stars are announced on Monday.
