Stat Trick: Flyers 5, Isles 3

1. Scott Hartnell recorded his second hat trick in NY in a ten day span (Jan 10 at MSG) and the third of his career. Hartnell has 9 goals and 4 assists in his last 6 games. It's the 12th hat trick by Philadelphia against the Islanders -- Rick Mac Leish had the only four goal game of the bunch.

2. Rick DiPietro recorded his fourth assist of the season --tops among NHL netminders. It's a career high for Rick -- who now shares the club record with Chris Osgood (2001-02).

3. The Flyers maintain their shutout in the season series, having won three games vs the Isles, all in regulation. The Isles have fewer points (16) against the Flyers than any other division rival over the last 2 1/2 seasons. Part of this is due to the lack of overtime games between the squads -- this was the 19th consecutive game to be settled without overtime. The Flyers have won 11 of them and the Isles 8.
There are five games remaining in the season series, including 4 in March.

and one more:

4. The Isles have lost three straight home games (0-2-1) for the first time since March 25-31, 2007. After getting off to a great start at home, the Isles are 4-6-1 in their last 11 home games, beating only the Coyotes (3-2 on 12/13) and Devils (5-2 on 12/29) in regulation time during that stretch The Isles are winless in January at home (0-2-1) and are 1-4-3 under Nolan in games played in January.
