It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 3rd
(2007) – In one of the most memorable nights in recent Coliseum history, Al Arbour stepped behind the Coliseum bench one final time, coaching the Isles to his 740th regular season win in his 1,500th NHL game as the Isles defeated Pittsburgh 3-2.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 4th
39 years ago tonight (1975) – Jean-Paul Parise scored three goals and added an assist as the Islanders beat the California Golden Seals 5-3.  Captain Ed Westfall added a shorthanded goal and an assist. 
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 5th
26 years ago tonight (1988) Pat Lafontaine scored the winner in the shortest overtime game in Islander history as the Isles beat the Caps 4-3. 
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 6th
21 years ago tonight (1993) – Marty McInnis scored a goal and added an assist, earning the game's #1 star, as the Islanders defeated the Hartford Whalers 6-3.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 7th
14 years ago tonight (2000) – Brad Isbister scored both goals and John Vanbiesbrouck made 32 saves as the Islanders defeated the Nashville Predators 2-1,moving the team into a tie with New Jersey for the Patrick Division lead. 
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 8th
34 years ago tonight (1980) – Mike Bossy recorded his second hat trick of the season, raising his total to 15 goals in 15 games, as the Isles beat Chicago 7-3.   Bryan Trottier assisted on all three goals and had a goal of his own as the Isles improved to 7-5-3 on the season.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 9th
38 years ago tonight (1976) - Bob Bourne scored two goals and six other Isles also scored as the Isles trounced the Detroit Red Wings 8-1.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 10th
27 years ago tonight (1987) – Pat Lafontaine scored the game's first three goals for his second career hat trick but the Isles would need an overtime goal from Brad Lauer to defeat the Washington Capitals 4-3. 
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 11th
34 years ago tonight (1980) – Mike Bossy scored four goals for his 11th career hat trick, but the Isles needed a goal by Denis Potvin with 2:10 to play to salvage a 6-6 tie with the Minnesota North Stars in what turned out to be a preview of the following spring's Stanley Cup Final.
It Happened at the Coliseum … on NOVEMBER 12th
16 years ago tonight (1998): Tommy Salo made 21 saves as the Isles blanked Montreal 4-0 at the Coliseum.  It was the 4th shutout of the season for Salo.

35 years ago tonight (1979):  There are two words that will always make an Islander fan smile, and a Ranger fan cringe: DOUBLE CHILI.
