There never has been anything like it before or since in hockey, before or since in the history of pro sports.
It always is worth remembering, but never more so than through this final year of Islanders' hockey at the great old barn in Uniondale when this current team and management has an obligation to honor the all of the larger than life ghosts who came before.
And Saturday's deal in which general manager Garth Snow acquired Johnny Boychuk from the Bruins does just that.
